An extra warehouse photo is useful when it resolves a specific decision. More images of the same angle do not necessarily establish fit, confirm a component or explain a suspected defect. Before requesting AllChinaBuy QC photos, identify the exact item, the uncertainty and the view or measurement that would change your next action. A good request is short, reproducible and attached to the correct warehouse record. This guide explains how to prepare it without treating photography as a guarantee of quality.
Previously indexed official AllChinaBuy guidance describes warehouse inspection and product photographs. The official homepage displayed maintenance when checked on October 8, 2026. Extra-photo availability, charges, turnaround and measurement services were not verified during maintenance and must be confirmed in the live account. The request examples below are buyer-written templates, not quotations from current service instructions. Use them only after checking that the warehouse can perform the requested task.
Verify identity before requesting detail
Match the warehouse item to the source product, ordered option, size and quantity. Save the order identifier and any visible warehouse label. When a listing contains many styles, an attractive main image is not enough to identify the selected one. Compare the option thumbnail and code with the order confirmation. If the wrong variant arrived, an additional close-up of the correct-looking detail will not solve the underlying mismatch.
Describe one uncertainty at a time. Instead of asking whether the item looks good, state that the chest width cannot be read, the left heel appears different from the right, or the photographed bundle does not show a listed accessory. Choose a requested view that addresses that uncertainty. Keep a record of the original image and your reason for requesting another, so that you can tell whether the response actually answered the question.
Make ruler photographs reproducible
A usable measurement photograph shows the entire measured span, the starting point, the ending point and the ruler scale. The item and ruler should be as close as practical to the same plane. A diagonal camera angle, bent tape or cropped zero point can make a precise-looking reading unreliable. Ask for units to be visible, and record whether the item was laid flat, relaxed, stretched or assembled. Those conditions determine what the number means.
Compare like with like. A flat width is not a full circumference, a shoe outsole is not its insole, and a bag's outside size does not prove its usable interior space. If the seller chart does not define the method, preserve the uncertainty and request clarification. Do not invent a tolerance or correct a reading merely to make it agree with the chart. A second photograph is worthwhile when it can distinguish a measurement problem from an actual mismatch.
Request hoodie and T-shirt dimensions
For an ordinary flat chest measurement, ask for the garment to be laid flat without stretching and the tape to run from one underarm point to the other. Confirm the method against the seller's chart. Measure a comfortable reference garment using the same points. A hypothetical reference width of 58 cm compared with a received width of 55 cm indicates a 3 cm difference across the flat garment. It does not directly describe how much smaller the finished garment will feel on a particular body.
Body length, shoulder width and sleeve length need equally clear endpoints. State whether body length starts at the shoulder near the neckline or another point shown on the chart. Raglan sleeves and dropped shoulders can make standard shoulder-seam comparisons inappropriate. For a set, request the top and trousers separately. Record chest and length for the top, then waist, rise and inseam where relevant for the bottom; one size label cannot establish the fit of both pieces.
- Use the selected variant's chart.
- Specify relaxed or stretched measurements.
- Show the tape's zero point and endpoint.
- Compare with the same method on a reference garment.
Separate shoe fit from outsole size
If the insole is removable and the warehouse confirms it can be handled safely, request a photograph of it laid flat with the ruler from heel to the longest toe point. Ask which shoe was measured. A glued or shaped insole may not permit the same method, and removal should not be forced. When the method is unavailable, retain that limitation rather than substituting the exterior sole length and calling it internal fit.
A length reading does not establish width, toe-box shape, lining thickness or comfort. Use it beside the correct size chart and the measurements of a reference pair. When checking pair consistency, request both shoes aligned on the same surface and photographed directly from the rear or top. Perspective can make an aligned pair appear uneven if one shoe is closer to the camera. Confirm the size labels as well as visible construction before deciding that a mismatch exists.
Ask for a context view and a close-up
A suspected mark or stitching issue benefits from two images: a wider photograph showing where it is, and a close-up showing its appearance. The context view helps identify the item and affected area; the detail view helps distinguish a loose thread, surface mark or damaged seam. Request reasonable focus and lighting instead of asking for an arbitrary number of photographs. Do not label an unclear reflection as damage until another view supports that conclusion.
For print or embroidery placement, include stable reference points such as the neckline, center seam, pocket or hem. A ruler near the design can help establish size when that matters, but perspective still affects the reading. Color comparisons are also limited by lighting and camera processing. A neutral background may help interpretation, while neither a single warehouse photo nor an edited seller image proves an exact color match under every light.
Adapt checks for accessories and electronics
For a belt, distinguish total strap length from the usable fastening range. For an adjustable cap, ask for the visible adjustment mechanism and the measurement the seller actually provides. For a bag, check closures, straps, included pieces and the dimensions relevant to what it needs to carry. A ruler outside a curved bag cannot establish that a rigid object will fit through its opening. Describe the intended use so that an appropriate check can be considered.
An exterior electronics photo can confirm a model label, connector shape or included cable, but it cannot establish internal battery condition or long-term performance. If a functional check is offered, ask what it includes and whether it is suitable for the item. Do not request risky disassembly or infer safety certification from an attractive label. Keep the seller's specification, visible warehouse evidence and any separately confirmed test results as different kinds of information.
Close the request with a documented decision
After the response, compare it with the exact request. Record the measurement and method, note which uncertainty was resolved and identify anything still missing. For example, the received photograph may confirm chest width but leave sleeve length unreadable. Accepting the chest result should not silently mark every fit question as answered. A small decision table with requested check, received evidence and next action is more useful than a general approved label.
If the evidence supports a return or exchange, check the current process and the seller's deadline promptly. A storage allowance is not the same as a return window. Keep communications and photos together until the issue is resolved. If you choose to proceed despite an unresolved detail, state that choice honestly in your notes. The purpose of QC is to make a better-informed decision before shipping, not to produce certainty that photographs cannot provide.
Put the record to work
Useful QC requests connect an identifiable item with a specific view, clear measurement points and a decision. Preserve the original chart, compare consistent methods and record what the evidence can and cannot establish. Request extra work only after confirming current availability and charges.
